I'm back!

Wow it's been awhile. I'm not going to bore you with the update post. I'm just going to say that life has been good.

Currently we are trying to have a baby and while it's fun trying its frustrating too. Especially if you've been trying as long as we have been. I know it can take up to a year but its frustrating still.

I have started a new blog that will hopefully help to fill a void in my life. It's going to be about craft and teaching. I hope to do a daily post of a craft or DIY project that I have found to actually be useful or someone I know found helpful in their home or life. I may also do some recipes on there to but in smaller numbers. The website is lifeteachgrow1.blogspot.com

Have a great day! I'll hopefully be updating more often then I had been!

So I've been working 60+ hour weeks lately which is always fun. I have also had to work for my full time job at a completely different store but as of Sunday I get to to and work at my own store which will be nice and save me some gas!

I bought a car since my last post (I think it was since my last post). Black 2009 Nissan Sentra. I <3 it a lot. I forgot how convenient it is to have a car.

Life has been pretty smooth lately though I am going to have to sit down with my boss from my part time job and change what she thinks she can schedule me for. Don't get me wrong I WANT THE HOURS!!! but when she schedules me for 29 and I work 40 at my full time job that means ~70 hours in one week.... While people call me crazy for having two jobs... I'M NOT THAT CRAZY!!! I understand that we are short staffed but then she needs to get hiring so that we are not!

We just celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. If someone can tell me where the last year went I'll give them a cookie. Seriously I can't believe it has been over a whole year now! We also celebrated his sister's wedding almost a month ago already! It's crazy how fast time goes by when you are not paying too much attention to it.

We have started discussing buying a house and trying to figure out where it is that we want to live and what we want and so forth. I think hubby wants to have a house before kids which I can see why but I just hope we can afford both at once if required. I think we'll be renting for at least another year unless we find something we really like and can afford on top of our school loans and personal loans. I'm so not looking forward to getting my school loan bill and having to start paying for it! Can't my fairy godmother or someone show up and poof them away? Cause that would be AWESOME!!!!

I want to plan a road trip to visit friends and family down in Milwaukee but I really can't afford to take off from both jobs for however long I want to go for and I REALLY don't want to drive down there once it starts snowing. I may have to wait till spring which will TOTALLY BLOW!!!! I'll have to find a way to make it work.

ALSO... WE FOUND MY LAPTOP!!!! While we have a good idea of the possible location of my husband's as well (and hopefully our DSR camera), we still are looking for them, and my Nook Color. But we have mine and it is sitting in evidence so that it can be used against the SOB who took our stuff. Hopefully he'll give up where he put the other stuff and we'll get the rest back too.. But at least there is even more evidence for us to use against him. It also doesn't hurt that he's been sitting in jail since the beginning of July and now his mom is in jail too!

New Jobs!

Started at TOP today. Just did stuff on the computer mainly. Have more to do between tomorrow and Thursday and have to get my liquor license thing sometime too before I can sell. Hopefully will get that done on Thursday. Boss said it takes about 3 hours, friend who took it said it took closer to 4. Only scheduled for 3 so I hope I can get it done in that time. Got over half way done with all of the computer stuff today so should be able to finish it all tomorrow crossing my fingers.

Going to fill out paper work for the other job next Monday. Have to find a shirt for that job still that fits me right. Long sleeve white button up shirt... seriously how hard can it be to find one right? SUPER HARD!!! Looked in the guys section but since I'm happily "well endowed" the men's shirts are not cut right for my shape and since I have short arms if I go up a size the arms will be too long or the neck to big. Might see how much it would cost to tailor a men's shirt to a more womanly shape if need be. Still on the hunt for one. Have till the nineteenth to find one but with working both jobs right now on the same days, one early and one late, it will be hard to find time to search the stores to find one. Looked at two so far with no luck and kinda looked at a third.

Very happy that my mom was willing to buy me pants though. I have 2 pairs of black nice pants but need more seeing I'll probably be working at least 6 days a week between the two new jobs. She also got me new black shoes because she doesn't think flats are the best to be standing in for however long I'll be standing on my feet. And she got me a whole bunch of black socks. While personally I prefer to wear the craziest colored socks I can find it's not very professional for an Assistant Manager to be wearing crazy socks to work with black pants and shoes.

I can't wait to be done at my current PT job and start my new FT + new PT job together. I am happy though that I did start the new PT job before I started the FT job so that I have time to train as much as possible before having to train at the FT job.

I also can't wait to get a car of my own. That is my goal for this week. Found a couple at a dealership 30 minutes north of here that might work and we'll hopefully go on Friday to look at them because both my husband and I have off and will be able to go look. While I'm not looking forward to the car payment or having to pay for gas, it will be a huge stress release to finally have my own car and not have to borrow my dad's or have to make my husband walk or bike home from work or have to walk home myself, especially with Wisconsin's crazy weather (for all we know it could start to snow tomorrow!).

Crossing my fingers!

Any big goals for yourself this week? Or this month?

UGH!!!! I so love being yelled at at work for the dumbest reasons... I can't wait to hear back from the two other jobs I'm trying to get so I can put in my two weeks notice. Meeting with one of the bosses of one of the new jobs tomorrow to discuss scheduling and hopefully will hear back by the end of the week from the other. Truthfully I'm at the point where I may just put in my two weeks at this stupid job whether or not I get the second job. The first of the two new jobs is going to pay me better and offers benefits to part timers and I can probably get upwards of 35 hours a week which would be just fine with me.

UGH!!! stupid people...

Today's Events...

Today I have not only the Bridal shower for my sister-in-law but also her bachellorette party as well.

So we'll go from cupcakes and presents (above) to alcohol, dancing and shenanigans (below)!!

Should be a good day!

What are your plans for the day?

Thoughts of Childhood

It's amazing how a simple song can bring back so many memories, let alone a whole Pandora playlist dedicated to playing songs from my childhood (and truthfully up until now since I still love to watch my ever growing collection of Disney movies).

If you enjoy Disney movies and the music from them as much as I do listen to Pandora's Disney Songs and Stories. It's very cool. It has some other non Disney songs in it as well (for example it's now playing Superman (It's not easy) by Five for Fighting but I'm okay with that because it's a reminder of Smallville which my husband and I watched together.

What songs have the most memories for you?

In my neck of the woods...

I never really understood that saying but anyway!

I have a job now! Thank goodness!!! I was feeling like I was getting cabin fever!!! Not having a car and seeing that in Appleton things are a bit more spread out then in Milwaukee and the buses suck here I couldn't really get anywhere. But that is now over. We are going to start looking for a car for me and hopefully get one soon. It's nice because right now since we only live like a couple of miles from either of our works if one of us has to work longer then the other we just drop whoever works first off and then they walk home which typically takes like half an hour for either of us. We have fixed my bike too and if we have car issues or if I just feel like biking to work I can do that. With the temp as warm still as it is though I don't really want to show up for work all sweaty and what not and then have to work for at least 6 hours like that. but when the temp drops a bit more I will definitely take advantage of that!

Well that is all for now! We both have off tomorrow so we will be spending some nice quality time together which will be awesome!
